About ArtsTime

“ArtsTime” is a biennial statewide arts education conference that will be held October 8 - 9, 2010, at Foster High School in Tukwila, Washington.  Hundreds of artists, arts professionals, administrators, principals, and classroom teachers from every part of Washington State will come together for this gala two-day event filled with workshops, presentations, performances and a trade show.  ArtsTime gives Washington’s educators tools to strengthen arts education.  Participants will have the opportunity for professional development in a variety of areas that will further enhance their ability to help students reach the state’s arts essential academic learning requirements.

ArtsTime is sponsored by the ArtsEd Washington, Creative Activities/VSA Arts of Washington (CA/VSAAW), Dance Educators Association of Washington (DEAW), Washington Art Education Association (WAEA), Washington Alliance for Theatre Education (WATE), Washington Music Educators Association (WMEA) and the Washington State Thespians.

Participating partners have included the Inland Empire Orff Chapter, Seattle International Children's Festival and the Washington State Music Teachers Association.

ArtsTime is presented in cooperation with the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
